Why Jacob's Berry Farm for the location?
Jacob's Berry Farm is a historic working farm and event venue located in Gardnerville, Nevada, featuring a century-old barn, spacious gardens, and a charming rustic setting just minutes from Lake Tahoe, Carson City, and Reno. With Heather gravitating toward a rustic aesthetic and Andrew embracing his inner cowboy, Jacob's Berry Farm felt like the perfect place to blend both of our styles — just as we are blending our families together. For more information on the venue please go to their website at https://jacobsberries.com/.
Why is the wedding on a Sunday afternoon?
Andrew proudly works for Discount Tire, an organization that consistently closes on Sundays. Since many of his closest friends are also part of the Discount Tire family, Sunday was the one day we knew everyone we love could be there to celebrate with us. And since the venue shares parking with two neighboring churches, we wanted to make sure their morning services wrapped up before our guests arrived — so a later start time just made the most sense!
Can I bring a plus-one?
Due to the venue's capacity limits, we are only able to accommodate the guests specifically listed on your invitation. If a plus-one was included on yours, we'd love to have them! If not, we appreciate your understanding as we work within our space constraints.
Can I bring my kids?
We absolutely adore your little ones, but due to our venue's capacity limits, we have made the decision to keep this an adults-only celebration. Close family members with children have already been notified of their arrangements. We hope this gives you the chance to enjoy a fun night out — we'll celebrate with all the kiddos another time!
Are you going on a honeymoon?
We are absolutely planning a honeymoon — just not right away! Between the wedding costs and wanting to do it right, we've decided to postpone it so we can save up and set sail on a cruise without any financial stress. Good things come to those who wait, right?
Will the wedding be livestreamed for those who can't attend?
While we won't be livestreaming the ceremony, we are hiring a videographer and photographer to beautifully capture every moment of our big day. Once those are ready, we look forward to sharing them with all of our loved ones who couldn't be there in person — so stay tuned!
Why did I not have to RSVP for a meal choice?
Instead of a plated dinner, we will be serving a buffet featuring carnitas and chicken tacos — so there's no need to pick a meal ahead of time! Please note that due to the nature of our menu, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate dietary restrictions. We hope you come hungry!
