Our Wedding

We met the way many modern love stories begin: on a dating app. What started as easy conversation over text quickly turned into a first date—and a very good excuse to see Avatar: The Way of Water. From there, things moved fast in all the best ways: hilarious golf dates, all-you-can-eat sushi nights, quite a few movie marathons. We clicked instantly. Andrew will tell you he knew she was the one after their first golf date—jamming out to the same music, keeping pace on the course, and thinking, “Well hell, she can keep up with me and we like the same music… let’s see how far this goes.” The ride never stopped—it just keeps getting better. Heather will tell you she knew he was the one from the first meeting in person, thinking, “Wow… now that is a full-fledged man.” And from that moment on, the rest truly is history. Now, the only thing left on the checklist is finding a home big enough for the many dogs Heather will inevitably want to adopt—and Andrew will lovingly agree to, just like their newest additions, Andarna & Peaches. 🐾💛

We asked some locals their favorite spots

Always beautiful, Lake Tahoe is a must see location when visiting Northern Nevada. This is Matron of Honor, Caitlyns favorite location.

Cave Rock

Kayleigh is currently diggin Moss & Midnight, which has a more unique, atmospheric vibe that makes browsing feel like an experience, perfect for discovering something a little different. Perfect for any book lover.

Moss & Midnight

Andrew is a Sushi feind and Tha Joint Sushi & Grill is his AYCE go-to. It’s a casual, lively place with consistently great sushi, and he always starts with the mussels—they’re a must. After that, he never skips either the upside-down shrimp or a Mickey Mouse roll, both packed with flavor and a little indulgent. Simple rule: follow his order and you can’t go wrong. It's also a hop skip and a jump from his old stomping grounds, Discount Tire - Sparks.

For Destiny, Rancho San Rafael Regional Park is an easy favorite. It’s peaceful with wide open spaces, great views, and plenty of paths to get some steps in. Plus, there are often fun events going on, so it never feels boring—just a relaxing spot to hang out and enjoy the day.

Savannah’s picks are all about good food and treats—Axohelado Homemade Ice Cream & Mexican Food with its fun mix of sweet and savory—whether it’s unique homemade ice cream or flavorful Mexican food, it’s the kind of spot that feels like a treat every time.

Heather's favorite place in town is a little weird. She loves driving down W Robinson St in Carson City towards the Governors Mansion. The historic houmes in this area are gorgeous and when the leave have turned a burnt amber/orange in the Fall, it is a sight to behold. The best way to see this area is the follow the Kit Carson Trail Tour.

The Kit Carson Trail

Another AYCE sushi favorite from Savannah, Sumi Sushi is a perfect date night choice of satisfying sushi, perfect when you’re craving something simple, tasty, and consistently good.

As a member of the Broke Book Baddies, Kayleigh loves Luminary Books for its cozy, welcoming feel and thoughtfully curated selection—it’s the kind of place you can wander through and always find something interesting.
